Three important things I've learned:
- Complete the assignments weekly, don't wait till the last minute. They generally only take around 5-10 minutes if you do them one at a time.
- Sign up for a newsletter if you aren't keeping up with the news. Every class will start with a "What is going on in the news"? portion.
- Come to class. It's easy to miss days because the class isn't difficult however, things add up, and you don't want to lose points for attendance.
Advice:
Trash in, trash out. What you put into this class determines what you get out of it. The more effort you put into completing your resume, applying for jobs, and in general, the more you'll get out of this class.
I couldn't agree more about getting out what you put in. Me as a younger student might not have cared much, but my mindset has shifted to thinking past the grade. If you're gonna spend the time to do something anyways, why not actually get some value out of it?
